Dear reader,

How would you like to come write for us? We are aiming to expand the pan-European conversation and we would love your input. As we are a new publication you can help to shape and develop this platform. Please see this as a great opportunity to gain exposure, even if you are just starting out. Please send your articles to editor@fireofeurope.com.

For advise on how to start please check the short Fire of Europe style guide:

  • Topics must be relevant for citizens of the European Union
  • Either take a European view on a relevant issue such as energy policy, organized crime, agriculture, freedom of speech, whatever topic where you have a specific interest or expertise;
  • Alternatively explain a relevant topic in a country for a European audience. We want to know all about the Bulgarian, Greek, Portuguese or other European perspective!
  • Tease but do not bully: European commissioners, members of parliament and high ranking officials are fair game for jokes and witty insults. But keep it light, imagine if you would like it if you where the target of the comment. If yes, please go ahead.
  • We love flavor: any historic references, local expressions or personal experiences are more than welcome.
  • Proudly European: Although English is the language of choice, do not refrain from using German, French or other common expressions (if necessary with an explanation).
  • Fire of Europe retains the right to make editorial changes before publication
  • Submit the article in a Word format, use hyperlinks for references (more than welcome to increase credibility)
  • Please share all pictures or graphs separately, include a caption in the text.
  • Include a brief biography of the author or authors
  • Encourage discussion: welcome critical responses to your opinions

I am looking forward to hearing from you! Also let me know if you have further questions or would like to discuss your idea for a article beforehand.

Best of luck!
